Which Water Heater Is Right for Me?
It’s time to install a new water heater. Both tankless and reservoir models have unique advantages, but they each fulfill different household needs. You won’t necessarily fulfill your house’s needs You must factor in cost, fuel types, energy efficiency, and size. Here, we have the most common tankless and reservoir water heaters:
- Tankless Water Heaters heat water without needing a storage tank. Once the hot water faucet is turned on, either a natural gas burner or an electric element heats the water. Ultimately, gas-fired tankless water heaters more efficiently produce higher flow rates than electric ones, producing 2-5 gallons of hot water a minute.
- Conventional Reservoir Water Heaters function with a large storage tank, usually 20-80 gallons, that stores the pre-heated water. Once it decreases to a certain temperature, it begins to heat up the water again. When the hot water is released, cool water that has been sitting at the bottom circulates through the heating element to begin the cycle again. While it is easy to go through the stored water, this model is often chosen for its simplistic design.
